Welcome to IGA Queensland
IGA in Queensland keeps growing with over 200 stores in the region.
IGA was launched in Queensland and Northern New South Wales in 1998. Now operating with three retail formats (Supa IGA, IGA and IGA X-press) each type of store appeals to different shopping habits.
With changing consumer needs, you will find a full range of groceries suited to your needs in a Supa IGA, or possibly stop in at an IGA for a few things for tonight’s meal, or maybe the quick and easy service of the IGA X-press on your way home from work. Regardless of the IGA format all stores share a common symbol - a red oval that stands for the Independent Grocers of Australia.
Every store is independently operated, and in most cases the owner is very much a part of the local community, your community. Next time you’re shopping in an IGA store ask for the owner and introduce yourself - they’d love to hear your comments and the chance to make your shopping experience even better.
With over 200 stores servicing an area from Port Macquarie to Cooktown and west to Mt Isa as well over 1100 stores around the country, there is sure to be an IGA near you. |
